National Museum United States Air Force. Dayton Ohio

So work travel has some benefits. Every once in a while I get to see something I usually wouldn’t. I had a few hours to kill during a work trip and here’s where I went.

In This Trip

1: GSP-ATL-DAY Delta Economy Boeing 717s

2: National Museum United States Air Force. Dayton Ohio

3: Tru By Hilton Huber Heights Dayton Review

4: DAY-DTW-GSP Delta CRJ200 and 717 Economy and Comfort+

The National Museum of the United States Air Force

This was definitely not boring. I’m much more into civil aircraft than military, but I love looking at basically any plane so this is easily my second favorite aviation museum. Udvar Hazy is easily my favorite.

Anyway here’s some pictures I took. I’ll only narrate a few.

Here are the aircraft that are kept outside. Really cool to walk up and touch them. The scale is fantastic and not something I get to do every day.

The gallery is divided into the various historical periods. These are some aircraft from the newest 2 sections. I love the B-1, such a cool plane.

The WW2 era collection was excellent. Now I’ve seen both of the Nuclear B-29s. This is Bockscar that dropped the final bomb that initiated the surrender of Japan. I very much enjoy this generation of plane.

The post war/cold war period was interesting. Lots of technology advancement that is interesting to watch evolve.

This is a great museum. I’ve found out that I’m not very interested in fighter or even attack aircraft. Most of my pictures are of freighters and bombers. If you are ever in Dayton, I’d definitely recommend the visit, it’s free.
