Hotel Report: Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Review

The Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad is nearly a brand new hotel and I’m pretty excited for this hotel Review. I don’t often stay at higher end brands like Conrad, but in Vegas high end brands are cheap. In this Review of the Resorts World Las Vegas I cover the rooms and common areas, I’m not much of a gambler so I don’t touch on that aspect of the Resorts World.

In September 2023 I also stayed at the Resorts World again, but in a Suite(Review Here).

After staying at the Hilton Elara Las Vegas for 3 nights I was ready for a change. Due to the work I was doing, changing hotels when I did made sense. The Elara was very expensive, over $300/night when including the resort fees. The rate at the Resorts World Conrad was $120 when including the resort fees. The Resorts World location was convenient enough to where I was going so I decided to make the switch. I will say the resort fee of $45/night was very high, the nightly rate was low so it worked out in the end.

Bottom Line: I liked the Resorts World Conrad, it has a few little bugs to work out, but the rooms themselves are great. The location is perfect for Convention Center visitors, but not so much for walking the rest of the strip.

Resorts World Hilton Conrad Location

Resorts world is on the far north end of what can be considered The Strip. It’s just south of the Circus Circus casino. You won’t want to walk to any other casinos from Resorts World, it’s just too far. You’re only option is a cab or rideshare. In the future there is planning in process for a connection to The Convention Center Loop. Construction is underway, but there is not a hard timeline.

Resorts World Hilton vs Conrad

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad

This is where things are a little different. There are actually 3 hotels within this property. A Hilton, a Conrad, and a Crockfords. They are all within the Resort Worlds Las Vegas but are operated as 3 separate hotels, all with separate check in desks, elevators, and staff.

I chose to stay at the Conrad because it was only $5 more than the Hilton. I’m not sure it was worth the effort, but for $5 I’ll take the risk. The Conrad tower also doesn’t have the giant LED screen on the outside and I didn’t want take the risk I’d have one of those rooms.

Resorts World Las Vegas Casino and Public Areas

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad

Walking into the main entrance feels like most of the other large casinos in Las Vegas. This one doesn’t have a theme like New York New York, it just a nice high end property. There is an exhibit of Rolls-Royces, but it’s an art installation and not a car show and I didn’t find it that exciting.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad

The gaming areas are vast but they all seemed pretty empty. But I’ll be honest, this was the only casino that I was in during my trip. I’m not much of a gambler, I just don’t find it entertaining, but this casino at least looks pleasant.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad

The Resorts World Las Vegas is well marked. There are plenty of signs to direct you wherever you want to go. It’s probably one of the better casino hotels in Vegas in that regard. It’s also bright and open in much of the hallways. I will say that many of the restaurants were closed, I was a little surprised by that as on the main part of the strip, everything was extremely busy.

I just followed the Conrad signs until I was at the lobby for the hotel. While it was well marked, it wasn’t particularly fast to get there. This is a huge property and walking around just takes some time. There are separate entrances for each of the hotels, unfortunately my Lyft driver dropped me off at the wrong one.

Resorts World Conrad Check-in and Lobby

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Check In

After finding the lobby I got into the check-in line. They didn’t have a separate line for Hilton Honors Diamond members, not usually a big deal, but there was a long wait in the regular line. There were signs encouraging people to use the Hilton App, but I had tried that earlier in the day and never received my digital key. So I jumped in line and it wasn’t moving. There were 3 agents checking in people and the process seemed to take forever, not sure why but each guest seemed to need 15 minutes of check-in time.

After 40 minutes it was finally my turn, I had reserved a King but the only thing available was 2 queens, whatever, I’m tired and lets get a move on. I was not expecting such a slow check in for a Conrad hotel. Apparently this slow check-in is a common issue here at the Conrad Resorts World, hopefully they get that resolved soon.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Lobby Bar

In the lobby, there was a trendy bar, but it was never busy. Like much of Resorts World Las Vegas, it’s a lovely space that seems underutilized.

Resorts World Conrad Public Areas

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Elevators

The Resorts World Conrad has 2 separate banks of elevators depending on what floor your room is on. I was on the 55th floor so I took the High Rise elevators.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Elevators

The elevator vestibule was pretty plain but clean and new, just like the rest of the hotel. I was a little surprised there isn’t a window in here. But this is a massive building, I’m not surprised there isn’t daylight behind that table.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Hall

The hallways here are very long, but because of the slight curve of the building, you cannot see the end of the floor. It was a solid minute walk from the elevator to my room and from there I still couldn’t see the end of the building. This is probably the biggest building I’ve ever stayed in.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Rooms

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Room

Walking in, the Conrad rooms are extremely nice. Large open space, great light and colors, with all the features and amenities that you would expect in a Conrad.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Beds

As I said before, I requested a king room, but ended up with two queens. That’s actually pretty common in Las Vegas, not sure why, but they have lots of queen rooms. Here at the Conrad the beds were comfortable if not a little to soft. I like the back lighting above the headboards. There was only once set of outlets in the middle of the two beds. If you had 2 people in this bed, the outside person wouldn’t have a place to charge their phone. Kinda surprising in a brand new hotel.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Room Review

There was a very nicely decorated TV area along with the chest of drawers. There was also a matching luggage rack. I really like this area, it looks very upscale and actually felt quality.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Room Review

Near the window there was a small cafe table and chairs. This is much better than the usual sofa or chair that many rooms seem to included these days. If you order a meal it’s nice to sit at a table and not on the bed.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Exterior

Near the door there was of course a closet with robes, iron, and ironing board. Nothing fancy here, in fact it’s probably the most boring part of the room. I did hang up my shirts here.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Room Amenities

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Mini Bar

In the room is the standard over-priced Las Vegas mini bar. On the right was a small fridge, this is a welcome benefit, usually in these places there isn’t a fridge, just the mini-bar. There was a note of course that discussed a 30 second sensor timer on the snacks and drinks, also that if you used the mini-bar for storage you will be charged for it.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Thermostat

The thermostat matched the rest of the hotel and was very modern. Worked just fine.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Alarm Clock

You know I love a good alarm clock. At first I was really excited about this one. I could wirelessly charge my phones instead of digging out my cords. Sadly, the wireless charging made a very annoying high pitched squealing noise. In the middle of the night was trying to find what was keeping me awake and it was the wireless charging. So I pulled out my cords and went old school with it.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Bathroom

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Bathroom

The bathroom was extremely clean and modern. This really does feel like a high end hotel, it should, it’s a Conrad. I was a little concerned that being Las Vegas, the rooms here wouldn’t really live up to the brand, but that didn’t happen here, this bathroom is fantastic.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Bathroom

A nice walk in shower with glass doors. There’s also an overhead rain shower head. Not sure I really like those, but it’s nice for a minute or two. The shower toiletries were the bulk style, but at least there was a bar of soap to use, I don’t like body wash.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Bathroom

Within the bathroom there was a toilet room. Nice for if you are a couple and want a little privacy. The door was just frosted so you probably wouldn’t want to brush your teeth next to a parent on the toilet.

All in this is an extremely nice bathroom. It’s clean and bright. It’s also full of the materials you’d expect in a Conrad.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad View

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Room View

This hotel is really far north. Here’s what the strip looks like down below. Yes, there’s a Ross and a McDonalds, this isn’t the glamorous part of Las Vegas Blvd. It is very close to the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall. It looks better at night than during the day.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Room View

In the daytime you can see the abandoned and failed Fontainebleau property. Not so glitzy in the light, just like most of Las Vegas it’s better in the evening.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad: Tacos El Gordo

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Tacos El Gordo

Ok, if you’re like me and don’t much like gambling or eating in the hotel you’re staying in, I decided to take a walk. The Building is really imposing when you’re up close. It being red really doesn’t help make it feel inviting, more menacing than anything else.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Tacos El Gordo

Across the street is Tacos El Gordo and it’s where you should eat all of your meals. Sadly I didn’t discover it until my second to last day, but I had 3 meals there. Late at night there is a line out the door and down the street. Go early or on a week day, these are the best tacos I’ve ever had.

Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad Tacos El Gordo

These are Tacos Al Pastor, their specialty. I would eat these all day every day if I could. I’ve had tacos all over this country, Texas, Hawaii, California, Detroit, New York, Florida, doesn’t matter, these are the best tacos in The United States. It is cafeteria style and cheap. Get in the line for the tacos you want, order a couple, then pay at the cashier. I paid less than $12 for 3 tacos and a Jarritos. Seriously eat at Tacos El Gordo in Las Vegas.

Final Thoughts

Apart from the very slow check in process, this is a great hotel. It’s new, large, clean, and is across the street from the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. Seriously, I would stay here again just for the tacos. The hotel is huge along with the property. The down side is that this isn’t particularly close to anything else on the strip. If you have an event at the convention center, it could be a good choice, but only after they open up the station for the convention center loop.

The pool hours are not great, when I visited, due to my work schedule, the pool area was closed the entire time I was in the hotel. This is a little surprising as many of the other hotel pools operate much extended hours.

It might look a little scary on the outside, but it’s wonderful on the inside. As with most hotels, newer is better. This is a perfect example of that situation. Nearly brand new hotel and the only issue I had was the lack of check-in agents. Once they improve that and fix the issue with the mobile check-in, this will be perfect.

If you’d like to see a Resorts World Suite, I have a review here.

I’d gladly stay here again, but then again, I don’t much enjoy The Strip.
