This feels very normal again; I’m back traveling to kinda boring hotels. This week, I’m visiting West Chester Ohio and the Hilton Garden Inn seemed like the easy option for me on this trip. I’ve stayed at lots of Hilton Garden Inns and it’s usually a solid experience. The West Chester Hilton Garden Inn was no exception, nice clean hotel.
Obviously a Hilton Garden Inn isn’t anything fancy, but it’s still a nice place to sleep for the night. This Hilton Garden Inn review could pretty much be for any highway side Hilton Garden in the US. They are nearly all identical and all perfectly serviceable for a few nights during a business trip. I chose this hotel primarily due to it’s location and overall enjoyed my stay.
Date of stay: August 2022
Hilton Garden Inn West Chester Location
The Hilton Garden Inn West Chester is just north of Cincinnati in West Chester Ohio. Just off of I75 north of the I275 interchange. In the area there are several chain style restaurants and a few smaller locals spots dotted in-between. This is very suburban business park area and probably the only reason someone would visit this area.
Hilton Garden Inn West Chester Check-In and Lobby
I arrived on a pleasant Ohio Summer evening. The hotel has plenty of parking but no other real transit options.
Inside the hotel, I checked in at the front desk. I was offered a bottle of water and was told about the breakfast in the morning. Due to my Hilton status I get free breakfast, but I never took park as I’m not a big breakfast person.
The lobby was nice and clean. The breakfast area was here, to the left of the front desk. There’s coffee available at all hours.
There was a sundries area with snacks and drinks. Behind that is the lobby bar, though I’m not sure it was open.
I took the elevator up to my room on the 5th floor of the Hilton Garden Inn. I found this note humorous.
Hilton Garden Inn West Chester King Room Review
Walking into the king bed room at the Hilton Garden Inn West Chester Ohio. The room is large and very clean. To the right is the closet and the left is the bathroom.
The single king bed in the room here in West Chester. The bed was very comfortable with power outlets on both sides within the lamp bases. There’s also an alarm clock. I like an old school clock, not to use for alarming just to look over in the night and see what time it is.
Across from the bed is a TV and dresser. Another small thing that I like is a TV that has the original remote. This allows access to features like the sleep timer. A little background noise is pleasant to me when trying to fall asleep.
Next to the TV was a work desk. I did make good use of this during my stay at the Hilton Garden West Chester.
In the corner of the room, near the window, is a somewhat dumpy chair. At least it’s clean but I’m still not sure who really sits in these. I pretty much always just use them as cloths storage.
Hilton Garden Inn West Chester King Room Kitchenette
Near the front of the room, next to the closet, is a small kitchenette. This had a microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and small fridge. Perfect for my 2 night stay here at the Hilton Garden Inn West Chester.
Hilton Garden Inn West Chester Bathroom
In the bathroom at the HGI isn’t anything ground breaking. Standard hotel bathroom with all the amenities that one would expect. At check in, the front desk staff did note that rooms would only be cleaned on request. I don’t care, I’m just here for 2 nights.
The Hilton Garden did have a nice shower, plenty of nice hot water and nothing silly like ultra soft water.
Hilton Garden Inn West Chester Room View
My room was on the back side of the hotel. From here there’s not too much going on, just a parking lot and then across I75 was a Top Golf with it’s distinct netting. I’m not much of a golfer, but top golf is fun every so often, not this trip though.
Hilton Garden Inn West Chester Final Thoughts
The Hilton Garden Inn here in West Chester Ohio was just what I needed. Perfect for just a few nights but this isn’t a vacation destination. It’s the suburbs of Cincinnati.
I found the room very clean and quiet. There’s plenty in the local area to eat, even a few places that you can walk across parking lots to avoid driving. I didn’t notice any highway noise even though my room was facing the freeway.
All in, I’d gladly stay here at the Hilton Garden Inn again.
