Hotel Review: Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Cary Crossroads

We’re heading to Raleigh for a weekend trip. We’ll be staying at the Marriott Courtyard Raleigh Cary Crossroads. Not to be confused with the Courtyard Cary, they are different hotels. Weirdly I’ve stayed at both, but I don’t have a review from the Courtyard Raleigh Cary, but I can say you want to stay at the Courtyard Cary Crossroads Raleigh. It’s a better hotel if you’re in the Cary NC area and want to stay at a Courtyard Marriott.

We’re meeting some people in the area and this Courtyard Marriott was the perfect base for us. Yes, it’s deep in suburbia and there’s not really anything you can walk to, but if that’s what you’re wanting, it works well. I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. It went well above my expectations and was a nice place to spend a weekend. We drove here from Greenville so no flights on this review, just the hotel.

Date of Stay: October 2022

Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Cary Crossroads Location

The Courtyard Marriott Cary Crossroads is South-West of downtown Raleigh. It’s close to both I40 and I440 so getting here is fast by car, but there’s not really another option. If you want to go downtown you’ll need to take a ride. There are some big box stores and restaurants in the area, but again, you’ll need to drive. I’d like to again point out there’s another Marriott Courtyard that’s less than 3 miles away, they are different hotels.

Along the Courtyard Raleigh Cary Crossroads lobby back wall are some booths with tables and TVs. This is a cool little concept where you can relax with others outside of your room.

In the back, behind the Courtyard Raleigh Cary Crossroads bar, is a pool table and TV. We spent a little time here waiting on friends. It was a perfect space to just chill and shoot some pool and watch a football game with some beers.

Outside is a patio area with tables and ping-pong. In the back is a small pool area. We didn’t go into the pool but this outdoor patio was a fun spot.

Courtyard Raleigh Cary Crossroads King Bed Review

Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Cary Crossroads King Bed Room

We walked into our king room at the Courtyard Raleigh Cary Crossroads and I was really impressed. The layout is somewhat untraditional and more like an Aloft or other such modern hotel.

The room was large with nice tall ceilings. The bed was facing the window with a sofa facing the TV on the right hand wall.

The bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft. There was power on both sides of the bed to keep devices charged.

Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Cary Crossroads Desk

On the wall was the TV and a desk. My name isn’t Ashley so that’s a little odd, but whatever. Next to the desk is a luggage rack.

Next to the window was a cabinet with a mini-fridge. On the top on the left is the coffee maker and microwave. Everything you’d need for a short stay.

Courtyard Raleigh Cary Crossroads Bathroom Review

The bathroom was large and modern. I like the back lit mirrors that have become more common in hotels these days.

The shower was large and without a tub. I wouldn’t say this was super luxurious, but was perfectly pleasant and clean for our stay.

Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Cary Crossroads Final Thoughts

The Courtyard Raleigh Cary Crossroads is a great hotel. I think it’s a pretty new property too and it shows. The lobby is nice with plenty of activities and space to enjoy with friends. The bar has good drinks and decent snacks. The outdoor patio is a great place day or night.

The rooms are large, quiet, and clean. The beds were comfortable and just what we needed at the end of the day. I like the more modern room layout of having the bed face the window. The bathroom was very large and had a nice walk in shower that I enjoy.

At the end of the day I’d gladly stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Cary Crossroads again.
