Let's get back to kinda boring flight reviews. Today I'm riding on and reviewing the Delta CRJ900 in First Class from Newark to Cincinnati. This isn't a route that I would usually travel, but I had early week meetings in New Jersey and later week meetings in Ohio so here I am. I've reviewed the... Continue Reading →
Lounge Review: Delta Skyclub Newark Terminal A
On a recent trip to New Jersey I had the chance to check out the new Delta Skyclub at the Newark Airport. The EWR Delta Skyclub is a newer lounge that opened in the Fall 2023. I visited the Skyclub in November of the same year, so the lounge was only opened for a few... Continue Reading →
Hotel Review: Hampton Inn Fairfield New Jersey
I'm visiting Fairfield New Jersey for a work trip. For this trip, it was recommended that I stay at the Hampton Inn here in Fairfield New Jersey. I do find it a little funny that I'm staying at a Hampton Inn in Fairfield, but I'm probably one of the few who finds that funny. This... Continue Reading →
Flight Review: United ERJ170 Economy. GSP-EWR
Today I'm riding with United on their ERJ170 in economy up to Newark. I don't fly the friendly skies too frequently, United's route map just doesn't fit my schedule very often. Today, since I'm going to New Jersey, United is the perfect choice as they cover GSP-EWR direct several times per day. It's been a... Continue Reading →
Hotel Review: Holiday Inn Nashville Downtown Broadway
I'll be working in Nashville for a few days and staying at the Holiday Inn Nashville Downtown Broadway. I've stayed in this area before and think it's the best for my needs. While it's not right in the middle of Broadway, that's a good thing for me. I'm not here on a bachelorette party, this... Continue Reading →
Flight Review: American Airlines A319 Main Cabin Economy BNA-CLT
I'm flying back home to GSP via CLT on American Airlines. For the first leg of the trip, I'm on an AA A319 in economy. Val and I rode one one of three back in 2022 on our way to Toronto(Review Here). There are some AA A319s floating around that actually have in seat entertainment,... Continue Reading →
Flight Review: American Airlines A321 First Class MCO-CLT
Heading home today on Americans A321. Due to my recent status match we were upgraded to first class. Pretty nice. However, our flight is delayed about 90 minutes so we're going to miss our connection. American did proactively move us to the next flight, but getting home close to midnight always sucks. For the second... Continue Reading →
Lounge Review: American Express Centurion IAH. Why is this lounge so hard to find?
In my opinion, American Express lounges are the best non-airline airport lounges. While some are better than others, the one here at IAH was a solid place to relax for an hour between flights. The only down side is finding the IAH Centurion Lounge is really difficult the first time, it's almost like a speakeasy... Continue Reading →
Flight Review: United Airlines 737-800 Economy. IAH-GSP
On my trip home to GSP from Las Vegas, I rode with United via IAH. My second flight between IAH and GSP is United's 737-800 in economy. I've not ridden on a United 737-800 in economy before so this will be a new experience for me. I'm also interested to see how the United 737-800... Continue Reading →
Hotel Review: Resorts World Las Vegas Conrad. Strip View Suite
As I continued my work trip to Las Vegas, my final few nights I'm staying at the Resorts World Conrad. I stayed at the Resorts World Conrad a few years ago on a similar trip, but that time I was in a regular two queen room(review here). This time, I'm staying at the Las Vegas... Continue Reading →
Hotel Review: MGM Grand Las Vegas Grand Room
The MGM spacious, clean but slightly outdated Grand Tower rooms, overshadowed by its excellent location on the Las Vegas Strip. Despite its size, the amenities are not impressive with the exception of the monorail service to the convention center. Future stays may consider the Park MGM.
Hotel Review: MGM Grand Las Vegas. Studio King
While in Las Vegas I ended up staying in 3 different hotel rooms over the week. Really not by choice, this trip was extended twice. I ended up staying in 2 different rooms at the MGM grand. The second room was the Studio King. I hadn't done much research before this trip and didn't realize... Continue Reading →
Hotel Review: Hampton Inn Raleigh Midtown
I needed to spend a few nights in Raleigh and I chose the Hampton Inn up in Midtown. I've not been to the area so didn't really know what to expect, the name "Midtown" means so many things depending on the city. Bottom Line: The Hampton Inn Midtown was very nice and new. It was... Travel Guide: Las Vegas Monorail
The Las Vegas Monorail is an automated train system that runs up and down the East side of the Las Vegas Strip. It's mostly used by tourists moving up and down the Las Vegas Strip. It's not really public transportation. Originally, the Las Vegas Monorail was created by MGM and the Ballys hotels to help... Continue Reading →
Lounge Review: PHL American Express Centurion Lounge
I'm flying home from from Philadelphia today and I have more an hour to kill so I decided to check out the PHL Centurion Lounge. I've visited quite a few Amex Centurion Lounges and I mostly enjoy them. PHL was no different, the Centurion Lounge was a nice place to relax before flying home. While... Continue Reading →
