Hotel Review: Holiday Inn Nashville Downtown Broadway

I’ll be working in Nashville for a few days and staying at the Holiday Inn Nashville Downtown Broadway. I’ve stayed in this area before and think it’s the best for my needs. While it’s not right in the middle of Broadway, that’s a good thing for me. I’m not here on a bachelorette party, this is a work trip. I’ve stayed in this area a few times, but never at this Holiday Inn so that’s new for me. Make sure you check you’re going to the correct hotel, there are several Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in Nashville, don’t want to end up at the wrong place.

Bottom Line: The Holiday Inn Broadway is a nice hotel in a good area. It has some quirky and cute Nashville features but at the end of the day is a pleasant place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location has some great restaurants and you’re about a 10 minute walk from the strip of bars that Nashville is known for, the hotel even offers a golf cart shuttle if you want.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Location

This Holiday Inn claims to be on Broadway, but it’s not, it’s about 4-5 blocks away from Broadway. This doesn’t bother me at all, in fact I prefer it. It’s a little more quiet but still close enough to walk. If you’re working in Nashville, it’s the perfect spot.

Martins BBQ Nashville

I also really like Martin’s Bar-B-Que that’s just across the street. Great BBQ and a cool bar to hangout in.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Front Desk Check-In and Lobby

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Front Desk

I checked in at the front desk. IHG doesn’t offer a mobile keys at nearly enough properties. The front desk staff was great, checked me in, and told me about a few features of the hotel. There’s a game room and lounge here in the lobby, there’s also a golf cart shuttle that will drop you off right into the center of Broadway so you don’t have to walk.

Next to the desk there is a selection of records and portable record players. You can borrow and take them to your room. Certainly a very Nashville amenity.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Lobby

The lobby was really nice, especially for a Holiday Inn. This hotel is connected to several bars, restaurants, and even a little bodega shop.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Lobby Game Room

In the lobby there’s a game room with arcade games and them a foosball table. Fun fact, I’m really good at foos. We had a table in our living room growing up and my brother and I are very competitive.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Room Review

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway King Room

I walked into my room at the Holiday Inn Nashville and was pleased with my choice. I got a single king bed room.

Looking back into the room from the window. Here you can see the bed, TV, desk, chair, and sofa. Near the front door there is a luggage rack and closet.

The king size bed was clean and comfortable.

There’s also outlets on both sides of the bed. I liked the silly duck leg lamps. The alarm clock had two faces so you could see it from more than just the front.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway King Room Desk

Across from the bed is the TV and desk. The desk is a table that is on caster and can be moved around the room if needed. Not really my thing.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway King Room Sitting Area

I really like when hotel rooms have a sitting area along side the bed. Makes it feel more homey than just sitting on the bed when relaxing.

Fridge, Microwave, and Coffee Area

Near to the closet there is a microwave along with a Keurig coffee maker.

Below that there is a small fridge. I used this to keep some leftover BBQ.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Bathroom

The bathroom here was very clean and modern. I really liked that the shower head and the controls were on opposite sides of the shower. You can turn the shower on without getting your hands wet or adjust the temp without standing in the way.

The whole bathroom was very nice. The toiletries provided are the bulk shared variety so for those who don’t like them, bring your own. But they are Dove products and I like those.

Overall, a very well outfitted bathroom. It is separated from the room with a barn door, just something to keep in mind.

My room was on the back side of the building, not a great view of anything back here.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Parking

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Valet Parking

There are a couple parking options here at the Holiday Inn, there’s a self park garage for $49/night. There’s Valet Parking for $56/night. For on a few dollars difference, I went with the Valet.

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Final Thoughts

Holiday Inn Nashville Broadway Exterior

Holiday Inn is an interesting and somewhat confusing brand. It’s also good to note that Holiday Inn is a separate brand from Holiday Inn Express. Holiday Inn is a more full service operation and is some what hit and miss. The Holiday Inn here in Nashville is certainly a hit. It’s a nice hotel in a great location. It also has some little Nashville quirks that make it unique.

I don’t stay at a ton of IHG hotels anymore, their footprint just isn’t where I often travel. For this trip to Nashville, The Holiday Inn was perfect.
